Bio
Marisol Díaz was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. She received a Bachelor's in Arts degree in photography in 2002 from City College of the City University of New York, and an Associate degree in Advertising Arts from Bronx Community College in 1993. She is a recipient of the 2004 Brio Award (Bronx Recognizes its Own) and the 2002 New York State Senate Award for her contribution to the Arts in her community.

As a freelance photographer, her clients include The Bronx Times, Bronx Council on the Arts, The Bronx Museum of the Arts, Bronx Opera Company, Bronx Net, Coca-Cola, Pepatían, Montefiore Hospital, The Norwood News, and many others.
Her work has been exhibited in several galleries and alternative spaces in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan and New York State. Other accomplishments include curating exhibitions for En Foco, Inc., and Casa del Sol Gallery in the Bronx; and teaching photography at Bronx International High School, Bronx, NY; Pelham Hutchinson Elementary, Pelham, NY; Millbrook Community Center, Bronx, NY; Workshops with The Bronx Museum and the Bronx Council on the Arts.
She is the Program Director for En Foco a non-profit organization that helps promote photographers of color.
Díaz has served on various arts panels, including the Bronx Museum/ICP at the Point, Bronx Council on the Arts, Bronx Net and Coca-Cola (Art in Harmony) and is a current member of the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA).
